How to connect RevenueCat
- Open RevenueCat → your project → API keys → New secret API key (v2).
- Permissions: Project configuration → Projects: read, and Charts & metrics → Charts: read. Nothing else.
- Copy the key and paste it in MotionMRR.
- Pick a style and the months to show, choose what stays hidden, and render your video.
Official docs: RevenueCat API keys.
What MotionMRR can access
Create an API v2 secret key with two permissions: Projects (read) and Charts (read). Public SDK keys (appl_, goog_…) are refused. MotionMRR only sends read requests.
How your RevenueCat MRR is calculated
- MotionMRR reads RevenueCat’s own monthly MRR chart instead of rebuilding it from transactions, so the curve matches what RevenueCat shows you.
- RevenueCat normalizes the chart to one currency across App Store and Google Play.
What the video shows
Your MRR curve draws itself month by month, a counter follows the line, and each milestone you crossed ($1K, $5K, $10K…) gets its moment. You choose per video whether to show the exact MRR, growth only, or just the shape of the curve. Export 16:9 for X and LinkedIn, or 9:16 and 1:1 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts on the Studio plan.
Known limits
- Beta: the chart format was written from RevenueCat’s documentation and tested against simulated responses.
- One RevenueCat project per connection.
RevenueCat FAQ
Will the numbers match my RevenueCat dashboard?
They come from RevenueCat’s MRR chart itself, so they should match month by month.
Does it work for both iOS and Android?
Yes, as long as both stores are connected to the same RevenueCat project.
