How to connect Paddle
- Open Paddle → Developer tools → Authentication.
- Create an API key named MotionMRR.
- Give it Read permission on Transactions and Subscriptions only.
- Copy the key and paste it in MotionMRR.
- Pick a style and the months to show, choose what stays hidden, and render your video.
Official docs: Paddle API keys.
What MotionMRR can access
Create a Paddle API key with Read permission on Transactions and Subscriptions only. Like with Stripe, MotionMRR refuses a key that can write. Sandbox keys are refused in production.
How your Paddle MRR is calculated
- Completed subscription transactions, net of discounts and tax.
- Each payment is spread over the billing period it covers, so a yearly plan adds one twelfth per month.
What the video shows
Your MRR curve draws itself month by month, a counter follows the line, and each milestone you crossed ($1K, $5K, $10K…) gets its moment. You choose per video whether to show the exact MRR, growth only, or just the shape of the curve. Export 16:9 for X and LinkedIn, or 9:16 and 1:1 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts on the Studio plan.
Known limits
- Beta: written from Paddle’s API documentation and tested against simulated responses. It hasn’t been checked against many real accounts yet.
- Paddle Billing (API v2) only, not Paddle Classic.
